Bernie McGraw
Music/Fine Arts Pastor:

Pastor Bernie and Heidi McGraw joined the pastoral staff at South Hills Assembly in March of 2001. Prior to coming to Bethel Park, Bernie and Heidi served on the staff of Faith Memorial Assembly of God in Sandusky, Ohio for over 15 years. Pastor Bernie grew up in Maine and Heidi in New York. They met at Zion Bible Institute in Rhode Island. They have 5 children Brock, BJ, Brianna, Blake and Brooke.

Music has always been a part of Bernie’s life. He started playing the piano at an early age and was very active in the local church. He played for the youth choir, was involved in worship activities and served in many other aspects of fine art’s ministry. During a youth convention after graduating from high school, he felt the prodding of the Holy Spirit to go into full time ministry. Both he and Heidi have had the privilege of being raised in church all their lives. Serving God has been something ingrained in them as children.

As an ordained minister Pastor Bernie’s passion is to be in an intimate relationship with God; he pursues Him. Pastor Bernie says, “Worship will not only be the center of my ministry but the core of my being. It’s my heart to endeavor to create an atmosphere where others can enter into the awesome presence of God. I love to lead people into His presence because it is there that people find the answer to the needs of their hearts.”
