A Time for Everything When I think about the month of August, I sometimes get a tightness in my chest as I realize the lazy days of summer will soon lose their grip to Fall. I seem to never want the summer months to end…the extended hours of daylight, the warm summer sun and the joy of gardening….well, the joy of reaping from Pastor Rick's gardening! His "Garden of Eden" peach trees produce some wonderful fruit! Before too long, the kids will return to school, the morning traffic will test my patience and daylight savings time will attempt to allocate the daylight that does remain. Solomon said it well in Ecclesiastes 2:1 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven". Have you ever looked really close at this scripture? Take the time to look closely at it now. Notice that Solomon uses two different words. He uses the word "time" (the Hebrew word ve'et) and the word "season" (the Hebrew word zeman). Solomon could have simply chosen to say…there is a time for everything and every activity under heaven…but he chose instead to make a very specific point. The point being….there is a very real difference between regular time and…."appointed" time. Think of the appointed time as being an appointment. Do you realize that Father God wants an appointment with you too? What Solomon is really saying is…there is an appointment time for every activity under heaven. Father God wants an appointment time to talk to you through His word – The Bible. Father God wants an appointment time to meet with you in prayer. Father God wants an appointment time to hear the beauty of your voice as you sing praises to His name. And, Father God wants an appointment time with you whereby you spread the Good News of Jesus to those who have never heard his glorious name! If it's been awhile since you’ve made an appointment with your heavenly Father, make an appointment with him today. His appointments are always free and His door is always open because, he's a 24 X 7 kind-of-Dad!
If you do not know Christ Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, purpose today to receive Him: 1) Admit to God that you are a sinner, 2) Believe in Jesus Christ as Savior of the world and 3) Confess your sins to Jesus Christ and ask for His forgiveness. Once you've done that, purpose to allow His love to flow through you into the hearts and lives of others.

FREE Spiritual Gifts Analysis!
This questionnaire will help you identify your God-given spiritual gifts. While there are many spiritual gifts, this evaluation covers the nine task-oriented gifts used in daily life to do the work of Christian ministry. Every Christian has a dominant gift and many possess more than one. Through this analysis, you will find out in which areas you are "less" gifted and will also discover your dominant task-oriented gift. You can then begin to concentrate on further developing your dominant gift as you exercise it in daily life and in your local church ministry. To find out how the Lord has gifted you for ministry. MINISTRY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
I am looking for dependable people - leaders as well as followers. Age is not important. Education is not important. But, being a faithful and regular attendee of our church and having a sincere heart with a true passion to serve the Lord's people is a must! No job is too big or too small in God's economy. There are ministry needs in many different areas - some of which I've listed below. Please answer God's call for you to assist Him in serving and ministering to people within our church and then call me so that we can discuss the desires of your heart in more detail!
